Aperture 3: Videos you upload to a MobileMe album are removed if later synced with Aperture 2

Symptoms

Videos you upload to a MobileMe album from Aperture 3, iPhoto '08, or iPhoto '09 are removed if you subsequently sync the album with Aperture 2.

Resolution

This happens because Aperture 2 does not support video. In order to prevent this from happening, avoid using Aperture 2 to sync MobileMe albums that you have previously synced with Aperture 3, iPhoto '08, iPhoto '09, or iPhoto '11, especially if the albums contain video clips.
