Xsan: Install Xsan 2.2 Update for 10.6 after installing Mac OS X v10.6

Symptoms

After upgrading an Xsan system to Mac OS X v10.6 Snow Leopard or Mac OS X Server v10.6, you may see one of these status messages  in the Xsan Admin computer list next to the Mac that was upgraded:

  • "Xsan 2 not installed"
  • "Unreachable or offline"

Resolution

Use Software Update to install the Xsan 2.2 Update for Mac OS X v10.6 on the affected Mac.
