Symptoms

Applications in the Final Cut Studio (2009) and Logic Studio (2009) suites may quit when opening after migration from one Mac OS v10.5 computer to another.

Resolution

Final Cut Studio (2009) and Logic Studio (2009) install a newer version of the ProKit framework, which the Mac OS X v10.5 Migration Assistant does not migrate. To resolve the issue, use Software Update:

  1. Choose the Apple () menu in the upper-left corner of the screen.
  2. Select Software Update.
  3. Install the ProKit update.
