Soundtrack Pro 3: Multiple channels displayed in MacOS effects

Symptoms

When you use MacOS effects in Soundtrack Pro, the plug-in may show more channels than you are using.

Products Affected

Soundtrack Pro 3.0, Final Cut Studio (2009), Logic Studio (2009)

Resolution

The Apple MacOS plug-ins DynamicsProcessor, MultibandCompressor, and PeakLimiter may show 6 channel meters even if the audio files in the project have fewer than 6 channels.

The effect will play, render, and export correctly in Multitrack and File Editor documents.
