Soundtrack Pro: Unexpected results when you apply Time Stretch to an Apple Loop

  • Last Modified: July 23, 2009

Symptoms

Sometimes when you choose Process > Time Stretch on an Apple Loop in a Soundtrack Pro multitrack project, the results may not sound like you expect.

Products Affected

Soundtrack Pro 3.0, Final Cut Studio (2009), Logic Studio (2009)

Resolution

Replace the Apple Loop with a WAV file format.

  1. Open the Apple Loop in the fIle editor and save it as a WAV file.  Note: Saving as AIFF or CAF formats will create another Apple Loop.
  2. Replace the Apple Loop in the timeline with the WAV file, then choose Process > Time Stretch again.
