iPhone and iPod touch: Some slides from PowerPoint attachments in Mail may render incorrectly

When viewing a PowerPoint attachment in Mail, some of the slides may appear as blank content (white background) or otherwise render incorrectly.

Microsoft Office documents are converted to HTML before being displayed in Mail on iPhone and iPod touch, so they are governed by the same size limits as webpages viewed on iPhone and iPod touch. If a Microsoft Office document uses very large images or many medium-sized images, some of them may not be visible when the converted content is displayed.

Learn more about size limits for content viewed on iPhone and iPod touch.

Because converting documents to HTML takes time, wait a few moments for the images in the slides to render.

If necessary, reduce the image size in any affected slides in the attachment and then resend to the iPhone or iPod touch; send the file as a PDF; or view the PowerPoint attachment on your computer using Microsoft Office (if installed) or Quick Look on Mac OS X v10.5 or later.
