About the Logic Pro 9.0.2 update

This update improves overall stability, provides numerous fixes and enhancements, and is recommended for all users of Logic Pro 9.

Some issues addressed include, but are not limited to:

  • Resolves an issue where Logic Pro 9.0.1 quit unexpectedly when a TDM plug-in was added to an audio track, or when a project or template that contained TDM plug-ins on audio tracks was loaded.
  • Resolves an issue In Logic 9.0.1 where the Input Volume slider on the External Instrument or I/O plug-ins would jump to -24 db if any negative value was set.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic 9.0.1 where an I/O plug-in inserted on an Aux channel strip did not route incoming audio correctly.
  • The Select Empty Regions command no longer sometimes improperly removes regions or disables loops in the Arrange window.
  • Logic no longer quits unexpectedly when a control surface is used to remove a send from a channel strip.
  • Fades are now displayed at the correct position over the region waveform in projects that start before position 1 1 1 1.
  • The Strip Silence window is no longer empty when used in one project and then opened in another during the same session.
  • The menu is more responsive when using Find to search for an EXS instrument.
  • Flatten and Merge of takes on grouped tracks now always creates regions of the same length.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic Pro 9.0.1 where it was not possible to create three flex markers by clicking the lower half of a region, after quantization had been applied to the region.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic Pro 9.0.1 where Option-drag to copy a region on an Aux channel strip created a duplicate track in the Arrange.
  • It is now possible to open a Multi Instrument editor window on Mac OS X v10.6.
  • It is now possible to quantize takes on grouped tracks.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic Pro 9.0.1 where using the Strip Silence key command could cause Logic to quit unexpectedly.
  • Resolves an issue where disabling the Q reference button track that contains a region that has been stretched and then divided could cause the length of the region to change.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic Pro 9.0.1 where exported files with a single tempo contained two tempo markers.
  • Some Sculpture presets no longer sound different when reloaded onto the same channel strip.
  • Fixes a rare issue where importing a Hyperset into a project may cause it to not load the next time.
  • Resolves an issue in Logic Pro 9.0.1 where using the Use button in the Audio to MIDI Groove template with a flexed region could cause Logic to quit unexpectedly.
