问题的表现
升级到 Mac OS X 10.5.6 后，Mail 可能会意外退出。导致这一情况的原因可能是安装了过期的第三方Mail插件，或使用了未正确更新的Mail副本（您可能需要安装Mail Update 1.0），或Applications文件夹中没有Mail应用程序。

仅使用Applications文件夹中的Mail.app
Mail.app应当位于与Mac OS X相同的卷上的Applications文件夹内（您可以从前往菜单中选择Applications，查看其是否存在）。
如果通过替身或Dock图标存取Mail，请按住Control键单击或右键单击替身／图标，并从关联菜单中选择在Finder中显示或显示原身。 原身将会出现－－它应当在Applications文件夹内（而不是在Previous Systems文件夹内的Applications文件夹中）。如果它在Applications内，请进入下一部分。
如果Mail.app不在Applications内，请将其移回Applications。操作时，如果您收到 /Applications中已存在较新版本的警告，请勿将其替换为您所拖动的较早版本。 而应当删除过去使用的较早版本，并从位于/Applications内较新的Mail.app上建立新的替身或Dock图标。 如果问题依然存在，请进入下一部分。
安装 Mail Update 1.0（如有必要）
运行软件更新。如果出现 Mail Update 1.0，请下载并安装该更新。
如果未出现 Mail Update 1.0，则无需安装该更新。请继续按照下面“更新或移除插件”部分中的步骤执行操作。
更新或移除第三方插件
如果问题依然存在，请将所有已安装的第三方 Mail 插件更新到最新版本。例如，OMIC 和 GPGMail 这两个第三方插件的早期版本就会导致这种问题。
如果更新插件不起作用，请尝试移除它们：
- 如果 Mail 正在运行，请退出 Mail。
- 在 Finder 的“前往”菜单中，选择“前往文件夹”。
- 进入 ~/Library/Mail/Bundles 文件夹。
- 删除该文件夹中的内容。
