Symptoms

You may notice the timecode in a movie you export from Final Cut Pro at 60 fps (frames per second) drop frame displays incorrectly in QuickTime Player. For example, media from Final Cut Pro that starts at 01:00:00,00 in Final Cut Pro may appear to start at 00:59:58,12 in QuickTime Player.

Products Affected

QuickTime 7 (Windows), QuickTime 7 (OS X), Final Cut Pro 6.x

Resolution

QuickTime does not support 60 fps drop frame. The timecode written by Final Cut Pro is still correct but will display differently in QuickTime Player.
