Final Cut Pro: Copy and paste from one sequence to another does not offer conform dialog
Symptoms
If you copy a clip from one sequence and then paste it to a another sequence, you may not see a dialog offering to conform the new sequence to the original clip's settings.

Final Cut Pro 5.X, Final Cut Pro 6.x
Resolution
Copy the clip from the Browser and then paste it to the timeline of the new sequence. Following those steps, the dialog offering to conform the sequence will appear. If you have already pasted clips directly from another sequence, you can set the new sequence manually to conform to the clips.
