iSync: Error message when synching phone via Bluetooth in Mac OS X 10.4.9 or later

Symptoms

When synching a phone via Bluetooth, an error message may appear which indicates the synchronization did not work and/or an unexpected error has occurred.

Mac OS X 10.4.9, iSync

Resolution

  1. Reset the phone and open iSync.
  2. If the issue persists, click the phone in iSync and choose Remove Device from the Devices menu.
  3. Add the phone as a new device in iSync.
