Mac OS X Server 10.5: Remote installation does not succeed if server does not meet hardware requirements
Symptoms
If you install Mac OS X Server 10.5 remotely on a server that does not meet the minimum hardware requirements, it will not succeed. Server Assistant may incorrectly report that it did succeed.

Resolution
Before installing remotely, be sure the target server meets the minimum hardware requirements for Mac OS X Server 10.5, which include at least 1 GB of memory (RAM), an Intel-based Mac or PowerPC-based Mac that has a G5 processor or 867 MHz or faster G4 processor (if using dual PowerPC processors, at least 867 Mhz per processor).
