Symptoms

When syncing with MobileMe in Mac OS X 10.4, you may receive one of the following messages:

  • .Mac Sync Error
    Your .Mac Sync Client is out of date and can no longer be used with .Mac. Please download the latest version of the .Mac Sync Client from http://www.apple.com/isync.

  • A computer named "[ComputerName]" is already registered with the .Mac synchronization server.

  • There was a problem with the sync operation.
    A computer with this name is already registered with .Mac.
