Optisch station is niet meer zichtbaar nadat iTunes voor Windows is geïnstalleerd
Symptomen
Als u met Windows Vista werkt, ervaart u mogelijk een aantal van de volgende symptomen nadat iTunes voor Windows is geïnstalleerd:
- Het optische station van uw computer wordt niet meer herkend.
- Het optische station verschijnt niet in Deze computer, maar verschijnt in Apparaatbeheer met een geel uitroepteken (!) naast het optische station.
- Mogelijk verschijnt het volgende bericht wanneer u probeert om het optische station te gebruiken: "Dit apparaat kan niet worden gestart: code 10, apparaattype Dvd-/cd-rom-station".
- De foutmelding "Brander of brandersoftware niet gevonden" verschijnt

Oplossing
Oplossing 1
Controleer of de fabrikant bijgewerkte softwarestuurprogramma's voor uw optisch station beschikbaar heeft gesteld. Zie het artikel HT3206 voor meer informatie over het bijwerken van de firmware van uw cd- of dvd-station.
Oplossing 2
- Start Windows Verkenner.
- Ga naar C:\Windows\system32\drivers\.
- Controleer of de volgende bestanden aanwezig zijn. Deze bestanden van een andere softwareleverancier worden niet door Windows Vista ondersteund en kunnen stuurprogrammaconflicten met optische stations veroorzaken:
- afs.sys
- afs2k.sys
- Als deze bestanden aanwezig zijn, verplaatst u ze uit de map system32. U dient deze bestanden echter op een andere locatie op uw vaste schijf bij te houden, omdat bepaalde oudere randapparaten deze mogelijk nodig hebben. Als u later merkt dat deze bestanden nodig zijn om een apparaat te kunnen gebruiken, kunt u ze tijdelijk terug in de map system32 plaatsen.
- Start Windows Vista opnieuw op.
Oplossing 3
- Sluit iTunes af.
- Verwijder de software voor het GEAR-stuurprogramma handmatig aan de hand van deze instructies.
- In het Configuratiescherm kiest u Programma's en onderdelen waar u alle aanwezige stand-alone GEAR-software-installatieprogramma's verwijdert.
- Installeer het bijgewerkte GEAR-stuurprogramma.
