Dopo l'installazione di iTunes per Windows, l'unità ottica non è più visibile
Sintomi
Se usi Windows Vista, dopo l'installazione di iTunes per Windows potrebbero verificarsi i seguenti problemi.
- L'unità ottica potrebbe non essere più riconosciuta.
- L'unità ottica potrebbe non apparire in Risorse del computer, tuttavia potrebbe essere visualizzata in Gestione periferiche con un punto esclamativo (!) giallo accanto all'icona dell'unità.
- Quando cerchi di utilizzare l'unità ottica, potrebbe essere visualizzata la seguente finestra di dialogo: "Impossibile avviare il dispositivo: codice 10. Tipo di dispositivo: unità DVD/CD ROM Drive"
- Viene visualizzato il messaggio di errore "Masterizzatore o software non trovato"

Soluzione 1
Consulta il produttore per sapere se esistono driver aggiornati per la tua unità ottica. Per ulteriori informazioni sull'aggiornamento del firmware delle unità CD o DVD, consulta questo articolo.
Soluzione 2
- Avvia Windows Explorer.
- Segui il percorso C:\Windows\system32\drivers\.
- Controlla se uno dei due file seguenti è presente. Questi file, forniti da terze parti, non sono supportati da Windows Vista e potrebbero causare conflitti con le unità ottiche:
- afs.sys
- afs2k.sys
- Se è presente uno dei file citati al punto 3, spostalo all'esterno della cartella system32. Ti consigliamo di archiviare questi file sul disco fisso, poiché potrebbero essere necessari per il funzionamento di qualche periferica meno recente. Se risulteranno necessari per poter utilizzare qualche periferica, potrei spostarli temporaneamente nella cartella system32.
- Riavvia Windows Vista
Soluzione 3
- Esci da iTunes.
- Rimuovi manualmente il driver GEAR seguendo i passaggi disponibili qui.
- Rimuovi qualsiasi eventuale programma di installazione di software GEAR indipendente dal pannello di controllo Programmi e caratteristiche.
- Installa il driver GEAR aggiornato.
