Mac OS X 10.5： Active Directory - 「ディレクトリユーティリティ」または dsconfigad でバインドするときの、名前とパスワードに関する注意事項
現象
Mac OS X v10.5 には、コンピュータと Microsoft Active Directory とのバインドに使用される 2 つのユーティリティが含まれています。「ディレクトリユーティリティ」はアプリケーション、dsconfigad は「ターミナル」からアクセスできるコマンドラインユーティリティです。これらの両方を使って、「ディレクトリユーティリティ」の Active Directory コネクタを設定できます。
Mac OS X クライアントを Active Directory にバインドするとき、または Active Directory アカウントのパスワードを変更するときは、バインドで使用するコンピュータ名とパスワードを 16 文字未満にし、Active Directory コンピュータのアカウント名に有効な文字を使用することが重要です。コンピュータ名を 16 文字以上にしたり無効な文字を入力したりすると、クライアントと Active Directory のバインドが正常にできなかったり、Mac OS X が不完全なコンピュータ名で Active Directory とバインドしたりしてしまうことがあります。同様に、16 文字以上のパスワードを入力すると、入力したパスワードとは異なるパスワードが保存され、パスワードのリセットが必要になることがあります。

解決方法
dsconfigad ユーティリティは、Active Directory とバインドするときにコンピュータ名およびパスワード入力が正しいかを確認しますが、「ディレクトリユーティリティ」は確認しません。
Active Directory コネクタで正常にバインドするには：
- dsconfigad を使って、Mac OS X クライアントと Active Directory のバインドを設定したり、Active Directory アカウントのパスワードを変更したりします。
または
- Directory Utility とのバインディングを行う場合は、16 文字未満のコンピュータ名とパスワードを使います。英数字 (A–Z、a–z、0-9)、- (ダッシュ)、_ (アンダースコア) のみを使うことができます。
Note：アンダースコアはホスト名には使えますが、DNS ドメイン名には無効のコンポーネントです。 バインディングされている Active Directory ドメインのドメイン名にアンダースコアがある場合、バインディングとサービスは通常どおりに機能しません。
