What to do if iPod touch, original iPhone, or iPhone 3G won't transfer photos to your computer
Symptoms
When trying to transfer your snapshots from iPod touch, the original iPhone, or iPhone 3G to your computer, your photo management software may tell you that there are no photos to transfer even though there are new pictures on the device.

Resolution
The iPod touch or iPhone will not transfer photos to your computer if the device is locked and you are using a passcode.
If you want to transfer photos, simply unlock your device to transfer photos.
