Se under Enhetsbehandling først (høyreklikk på Min datamaskin, velg Behandling og marker Enhetsbehandling). Les videre hvis ingen enheter vises i Windows Enhetsbehandling.

Hvis problemet oppstod like etter at du oppdaterte datamaskinen med Windows XP Service Pack 2, kan du se her først:

Hvis problemet oppstod like etter at du oppdaterte en Windows XP-maskin med Service Pack 3, kan du se her i stedet: Microsoft KB-nummer 953791.
Hvis det er andre grunner til at datamaskinen ikke gjenkjenner iPod, kan du lese iPod mangler i "Min datamaskin" eller iTunes for Windows.
