iOS: Issues syncing content with multiple computers using iTunes

Symptoms

Issues may occur leading to data corruption or data loss if you regularly sync Contacts, Calendars, Notes, or bookmarks between multiple computers using iTunes and your iOS device. Syncing once to move your data to a new computer should not cause these issues.

Resolution

When you need to share your data between multiple computers and an iOS device, there are several possible solutions:

You should not experience issues when either syncing your device to another computer to bring the data over once, or when syncing to overwrite the data on the device. You can also sync contacts, calendars, and bookmarks with one computer and sync media with another computer.

Note: This does not affect transferring purchases. You can use your device to transfer purchases between any of your authorized computers.
