Final Cut Pro project media on a Contentbase device type designated as edit-in-place may appear as "Media Offline" after checking the project out.

For edit-in-place, use a device that has not been designated as a Contentbase device type.

Contentbase is a Final Cut Server–managed file storage system on or connected to the Final Cut Server server. For more information, refer to the Setup and Admin Guide, included on the Final Cut Server installation disc.
