Symptoms

When trying to sync your calendars with MobileMe Sync in Mac OS X 10.5, your calendars may not sync (and no alert appears), or you may see the following alert:

"Calendars could not be synced due to inconsistent data. Confirm that your computer's data is valid, then reset Calendars on MobileMe in System Preferences."

Products Affected

Mac OS X 10.5, .Mac Sync, MobileMe

Resolution

  1. Download and install the Mac OS X 10.5.2 Update, or later.
  2. Try syncing.
  3. If the issue persists, from the computer with the most up-to-date calendar information, reset MobileMe Sync.
  4. Try syncing.
  5. If the issue persists after resetting Calendar sync data, you may need to reset sync history.  You may need to repeat this step on each computer.
  6. Try syncing.
  7. If the issue persists after resetting sync history, you should unregister your computer from MobileMe, remove the online calendar data and then replace the content on MobileMe with known-good content from your Mac.
  8. If the issue persists contact MobileMe Support.
