Symptoms

When trying to connect to your iDisk in Mac OS X 10.5, you may receive this alert:

"Your iDisk cannot be accessed. Your member name or password may be invalid
An unexpected error occurred (error code -35)."

This issue may occur if you attempt to access your iDisk immediately after waking your computer from sleep, or after switching your Internet connection.

Products Affected

MobileMe, Mac OS X 10.5

Resolution

After waking your computer from sleep or changing to a different Internet connection (for example, from Ethernet to AirPort), wait a few moments before trying to connect to your iDisk.

If the issue persists:

  1. From the Apple menu, choose Log Out.
  2. Log back in.
  3. Try to connect to your iDisk.
  4. If the issue persists, restart your computer.

You should now be able to connect to your iDisk. However, if the issue persists, follow these additional steps:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Click MobileMe.
  3. Click Sign Out. Note: This will unregister your computer from syncing with MobileMe, and disable iDisk Syncing if it is enabled.
  4. Retype your MobileMe account name and password.
  5. Connect to your iDisk.

If these steps do not resolve the issue, contact MobileMe Support.
