Logic Pro 8: Some content may be missing after iLife ’08 installation

Symptoms

Some Apple loops and instruments installed with Logic Pro 8 may be missing if you subsequently install iLife ’08.

Resolution

This is a known issue. If you install iLife ’08 and do not select the "GarageBand Additional Instruments and Loops" option, some of the loops and instruments may be missing. This option is not enabled by default. To recover the loops, rerun the iLife ’08 installer. When the installer reaches the "Installation Type" dialog, click the Customize button and enable the "GarageBand Additional Instruments and Loops" option.
