Motion 3: Project presets may be missing

Symptoms

When you open Motion it may be missing its project presets. This may happen if you install Motion 3.0 from the Final Cut Studio installation DVD after you update Motion to a version later than 3.0.

For example, if you have Motion 3.0.1 on your computer and then you use the Final Cut Studio installer with the option for Motion selected, the next time you open Motion the Select Project Presets window may be empty, as shown below:

Resolution

To resolve this issue, install Pro Applications Update 2008-02 or later.
