GarageBand: Some instruments from Jam Pack 1 and Jam Pack 2 missing in iLife '08

Symptoms

When you install either Jam Pack 1 or Jam Pack 2 on a new computer with GarageBand '08, some of the instruments may be missing. This may happen if you do not install the optional GarageBand content.

Resolution

Be sure to install the optional content before adding either Jam Pack 1 or Jam Pack 2 on your computer.

To install the additional content:

  1. Open the Loop Browser in GarageBand.
  2. Choose one of the additional loops.
  3. From the dialog, download the additional loops via the Internet or install them from the iLife '08 DVD.
