iPod 1.2: iPod Scripts for Mac OS X 10.1 Do Not Import Contacts

The iPod Scripts for Mac OS X 10.1 that were posted on the AppleScript Web site do not work with iPod 1.2 software, or with Mac OS X 10.2.

Symptom

• With Mac OS X 10.2, the iPod scripts do not open.
• With Mac OS X 10.1 through 10.1.5 the iPod scripts seem to work, but only the first contact appears on iPod. The other contacts that were imported using these scripts do not appear.

Solution

Do not use these scripts to import contacts if you are using Mac OS X 10.2 (or later) or iPod Software 1.2 (or later).

If you have used these scripts with iPod Software 1.1 and then upgraded to iPod Software 1.2, follow the instructions in these technical documents to remove the current contacts file and reload contacts:
