Syncing iPod over FireWire with iSight can cause your Mac to "freeze"
Connecting or syncing an iPod via FireWire can cause a computer to stop responding (hang or freeze) if you're also using an iSight.

If you're using your iSight camera and you connect an iPod to the computer's FireWire port, the computer may stop responding and the pointer may turn into a progress indicator (looks like a spinning pinwheel).
To prevent this from happening, don't use iSight when your iPod is connected via FireWire. If your computer has USB 2.0 ports, consider connecting iPod to USB instead of FireWire.
