AppleWorks 6.2.9 Updater stops responding or "freezes"
The AppleWorks 6.2.9 updater can become unresponsive if you are connected to a server when you run the updater.

Disconnect from any connected server volumes, such as file servers or your iDisk, before using the AppleWorks 6.2.9 Updater
If you are connected to a server when you run the updater, the updater may stop responding ("crash" or "freeze"). If this happens, force quit the updater.
This same issue may occur with other installers.
If you are connected to a server when you run the updater, the updater may stop responding ("crash" or "freeze"). If this happens, force quit the updater.
- From the Apple menu, choose Force Quit.
- Select the AppleWorks 6.2.9 Updater from the list of applications.
- Click Force Quit.
- Disconnect any connected network volumes or restart the computer and then try again.
