Resize handles do not appear in AppleWorks paint document

Find out what to do if you can't see the resize handles in an AppleWorks paint document in Mac OS X 10.3.

When you select a rectangular area or an area with the Lasso tool and choose Resize or Free Rotate from the Transform menu, resize handles normally appear in the corners of the selection.

If the resize handles don't appear, do one of the following:
  • Click outside the AppleWorks document, for example on the desktop, then click back inside the AppleWorks document.
  • Zoom in and back out by clicking the Zoom-In and Zoom-Out buttons at the bottom of the window.

When resizing, the selection will not update until you repeat one of the two options above.
