You hear popping noises in iChat with certain iBook computers

During an audio or video chat, you may hear a "popping" noise every ten seconds while using the computer's internal microphone and AirPort wireless networking. This can happen with iBook computers, except iBook G4 and iBook G4 (14-inch) models. This can also occur with third-party 802.11b wireless networks.

Try one of these solutions:
  • Use a USB microphone.
  • If using an iSight camera, use iSight's built-in microphones.
  • Turn off AirPort and use a wired Ethernet connection.
