This document contains a table of AirPort software available from Apple, and the operating systems and AirPort Base Stations you can use with each version.
Note: AirPort in Japan is called AirMac.
Be sure you update your computer to the latest version of Mac OS X, since Mac OS X updates sometimes include AirPort updates.

Notes
- AirPort 1.3.1 installs on Mac OS 8.6.
Only the original iBook is compatible with Mac OS 8.6 and AirPort 1.3.1. - The Compatible Base Stations column refers to base stations which the software can administer. For regular, non-administration purposes, any AirPort-equipped computer can connect to any model of AirPort base station.
- Use the most current firmware versions with the AirPort Base Station.
Some base station features are available only while administering your wireless network from the latest version of Mac OS X. - This Update is specifically for Intel-based Macs except the Mac Pro and iMac (Late 2006) computers. With the introduction of the Mac OS X 10.4.8 update, the AirPort Update 2006-001 has been removed as it is now included within the Mac OS X 10.4.8 update.
- The AirPort Utility will not configure the Graphite or Dual Ethernet Base Stations. Configuration of these base stations will require the appropriate versions of the AirPort Admin Utility and AirPort Setup Assistant.
