The touch switch on the Apple Studio Display (LCD) is used to turn on, put to sleep, or wake up a Power Mac G4 Cube or Power Mac G4 (Gigabit Ethernet) computer by sensing the touch of your finger. The switch gently flashes when you touch it.

The software launch button located on the front bezel of the Apple Studio Display (LCD) is also sensitive to touch. Touch it to open the Monitors control panel.
