This article describes the Apple Display Connector (ADC) used on many Apple displays and computers. Refer to article 58692: "Power Mac G4: Display Compatibility" for additional information.

The Apple Display Connector carries video, USB, and power between a Macintosh computer and an ADC based display. It is illustrated in Figure 1.

Note: Displays utilizing an Apple Display Connector require a Macintosh computer with an ADC video card. Apple ADC displays are not supported on Windows based computers because they lack the power line to drive the display.
