iWeb: "Publish Error" message due to a network timeout

When you are publishing your website to .Mac, a network timeout can occur. When this happens with iWeb, you will see a generic alert message such as this

"Publish Error - An error occurred while publishing file "filename".

If you see this message, try publishing again. If the timeout recurs, keep trying to publish.
