iPhoto 5: Fixing blank, gray thumbnails

Some iPhoto 5 users may experience an issue in which thumbnails appear as blank, gray images.

To resolve this issue, update to iPhoto 5.0.1 or later, and then rebuild your iPhoto Library. It's a good idea to make a backup copy of your iPhoto Library folder (located in your Pictures folder) before rebuilding it. To rebuild the library:

1. If iPhoto is open, quit it.
2. Hold down the Command and Option keys, and open iPhoto
3. iPhoto opens and rebuilds your library.
