Mac OS X 10.3: Applications unexpectedly quit when you print
My applications crash when I print. It started happening after a "No pages were selected to be printed in this document" message appeared, and now happens in every Mac OS X application.
Products Affected
Mac OS X 10.3
One of these solutions should fix this and get you back to printing at will.

- Are you using Mac OS X 10.3.3 or later? If not, update your computer's software.
- Do you use an HP Photosmart printer? Download and installed driver version 2.3.6 or later. You can get it from Hewlett-Packard.
- If you use any other printer, download the latest driver from the manufacturer's website, then install it.
- If the issue persists when using custom printer presets and Mac OS X 10.3.2 or earlier, find and delete the file "com.apple.print.custompresets.plist". It's in your home folder's Preferences folder, which is in your home folder's Library folder (~/Library/Preferences).
You'll need to recreate any custom presets that you've previously saved.
