Some Power Macintosh G3 models offered a build-to-order option for a 128-Bit 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator Card, which does not work with Mac OS X 10.0 to 10.2.8.

Products Affected

Mac OS X Server 10.3, Mac OS X 10.0

Symptom

Either of these symptoms may occur:
  • A kernel panic occurs during system startup time.
  • A display connected to the 128-Bit 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator Card only works at a resolution of 640-by 480-pixels.

Any of the following computers when the build-to-order (BTO) 128-Bit 2D/3D Graphics Accelerator Card is installed:
  • Power Macintosh G3 Mini Tower
  • Power Macintosh G3 Desktop
  • Power Macintosh G3 All-In-One
  • Macintosh Server G3
