Mac OS X 10.6: Transferring items from a Windows computer to a Mac

Here are some ways to transfer files or folders from a Windows computer to a Mac.
To transfer items:

Copy the item to an intermediary location such as an external disk, thumb drive, or remote server, and then connect the disk, drive, or server to the Mac.

Burn the item to a CD or DVD disc, and then insert the disc into the optical drive on the Mac.

Connect the Windows computer and your Mac to the same wired or wireless network.

If your Windows computer has an Ethernet port, directly connect the two computers using an Ethernet cable.
