Create a new reminder list in iCal

You can create separate reminder lists for different areas of your life (work, home, school, and so on) or for every task you’re working on. (Reminder lists are available in Mac OS X version 10.7.2 or later.)

Each reminder list you create is assigned a color. Any reminders that you add to a reminder list are displayed in the reminder list’s color. If you’re viewing multiple reminder lists at the same time, you can easily see which reminders belong to a reminder list based on their colors.

  1. In iCal, choose File > New Reminder List, and then choose where you want to add the reminder list.
  2. Type a name for your new reminder list and press Return.

Any reminder lists you create appear in the Reminders pop-up list. In the Reminders pop-up list, you can select to show or hide individual reminder lists. For more information, see this help topic:

Show or hide all reminders in a reminder list

After you create your reminder lists, you can add reminders to them, change reminder list colors, and more.
