Set an iCal event to recur

You can set how often an iCal event occurs and when it stops occurring.

  1. In iCal, double-click the event. If the event editor isn’t open, click Edit to open it.
  2. Choose how often you want the event to occur from the Repeat pop-up menu.

To make more specific choices (for example, to have the event occur only every third week of the month), choose Custom from the Repeat pop-up menu.

Here are the types of recurring events you can choose from:

    • Every day: Sets the event to occur every day, at the same time.

    • Every week: Sets the event to occur on the same day every week, at the same time.

    • Every month: Sets the event to occur on the same day every month, at the same time.

    • Every year: Sets the event to occur on the same day every year, at the same time.

    • Custom: Sets the event to occur on custom days, at the same time. For example, you can set the event to occur every third week of the month or on the first Wednesday of every month.

  3. From the End pop-up menu, choose whether you want the event to stop occurring after a number of times or after a specific date.
