objects

Objects are items you add to your book, such as images, shapes, widgets, tables, and so on. There are three kinds of objects:

  • Inline
    objects are embedded in text and move with the text.
  • Floating
    objects stay in a fixed position (wherever you place them) on the page.
  • Anchored
    objects stay in a specified place on a page, and are anchored to specific text. When text flow moves the anchor (Anchored object marker) to another page, the object appears in the same position on the new page.

You can change objects from one kind to another using the format bar or the Wrap inspector:
