Add and edit marker regions

You can add markers to a podcast project, and add artwork, URLs, URL titles, and chapter titles to each marker.

You can edit a marker by changing its start time in the editor. You can also move and resize markers in the podcast track.

To add a marker:

  1. Choose Track > Show Podcast Track if the podcast track is not already visible.

  2. Choose Control > Show Editor, or click the Editor button (with the scissors icon) in the control bar.

  3. Set the playhead to the place where you want to add a marker, then click the Add Marker button in the editor.

    The marker region appears in the podcast track at the playhead position, and the start time appears in the marker’s row in the editor.

    You can also quickly add a marker by pressing the P key while you are recording. You can also add a marker by dragging artwork into the timeline.

To edit a marker:

Do any of the following:

  • In the editor, click the start time in the Time column of the marker’s row, then type a new start time.

  • Drag the left or right edge of a marker region in the podcast track to resize it.

  • Drag the marker region to move it.

To delete a marker:

  1. Select the marker or marker region in the editor.

  2. Press the Delete key.
