GarageBand '11: Add jingles, stingers, and sound effects

Add jingles, stingers, and sound effects

GarageBand includes three special types of Apple Loops for you to use in your podcasts: jingles, stingers, and sound effects. You can access them in the loop browser and add them to your project.

  • Jingles are complete background music tracks that you can use behind narration or dialogue, as an introduction, or between spoken segments. Some jingles are available in long, medium, and short versions.

  • Stingers are brief sounds often used in radio broadcasts as transitions or “punctuation” between sections or speakers.

  • Sound effects include the sounds of animals, people, Foley effects, room ambience, and sounds for specific situations such as sporting events or work environments.

To add jingles, stingers, and sound effects:

  1. Click the Loop Browser button (with the “eye”) in the control bar to open the loop browser.
