iCloud: Upgrade your iCloud storage

Upgrade your iCloud storage

You can purchase additional iCloud storage from your iOS device, Mac, or Windows computer.

Note:   Accepted payment methods include iTunes store credit, credit cards, and debit cards. You cannot use Apple Store gift cards as a form of payment to upgrade your iCloud storage. If you do not have enough iTunes store credit to complete your upgrade, you will be charged the remaining amount.

On your iOS device

  1. Go to Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup, then tap Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan (whichever you see).

  2. Choose the amount of storage you want, tap Buy (in the upper-right corner), then follow the instructions that appear.

On your Mac

  1. Open iCloud preferences, then click Manage.

  2. Click Change Storage Plan (in the upper right).

  3. Choose the amount of storage you want, then follow the instructions that appear.

On your Windows computer

  1. Open the iCloud Control Panel, then click Manage.

  2. Click Buy More Storage or Change Storage Plan (whichever you see).

  3. Select the amount of storage you want, then follow the instructions that appear.

You are notified via email before you are billed each year for the renewal of your current storage plan.

If you purchase a higher-tier storage plan to replace your existing storage plan (for example, 20 GB to replace 10 GB), the existing plan will be canceled and you will receive a prorated refund for the time remaining. The new storage plan is applied to your iCloud account and the renewal date is updated to reflect the purchase date for the new plan.
