Export and import reminders

You can export selected reminders or all the reminders in one or more reminder lists (for example, to move them to a different computer). At any time, you can import reminders in a .ics file.

Export selected reminders

You can export one reminder, or export several selected reminders.

  1. Select the reminder list or lists that have the reminders you want to export.

    To select more than one list, hold down the Command key.

  2. Hold down the Command key, and then select the reminders.
  3. Drag the reminders to the desktop.

    The reminders are exported in a .ics file.

Export reminder lists

  1. Select the reminder list or lists.

    To select more than one list, hold down the Command key.

  2. Choose File > Export.
  3. Enter a name, choose a location, and then click Export.

    Your reminders are exported in a .ics file.

Import reminders

You can import reminders in a .ics file by doing one of the following:

  • Choose File > Import, locate the .ics file with the reminders, and then click Import.
  • Drag a .ics file with reminders to the Reminders icon in the Dock.
If you have more than one reminder list, choose the list where you want to add the reminders.
