OS X Mountain Lion: Take apps full screen

Take apps full screen

In many apps, including Calendar, Mail, and Safari, you can expand the window to fill your entire screen. You can make a window in an app full screen with one click, switch to another app’s full-screen window with a swipe of the trackpad, and then swipe back to the desktop to access your other apps, all without ever leaving the full-screen experience.

  • To expand to full screen, click the arrows in the top-right corner of an app window.

  • To move from one window to another in full-screen view, swipe left or right on a trackpad or Magic Mouse.

You can also press the arrow keys on your keyboard.

  • To return to standard view, move the pointer to the top-right corner of the screen until the menu bar appears, and then click the arrows.
