Apple ID: What to do after you change your Apple ID

If you change your Apple ID, you may need to update the Apple stores and services that you've used with your previous Apple ID name.

After changing your Apple ID, refer to these steps to make sure that each store or service is using your current, renamed Apple ID. In some cases, you don't need to provide your current Apple ID until the next time you're asked to sign in to the store or service. But you should consider updating immediately any services that you use to share information or communicate with others—such as iCloud, iTunes, FaceTime, Find My Friends, Find My iPhone, and Messages.
