iWork 9.2 is recommended for users of iWork 9.0 and later when using OS X Lion v10.7.4 and above. In this release, the iWork for Mac apps are updated for OS X Mountain Lion and take advantage of features such as iCloud and Dictation.

The iWork apps are also enhanced to take advantage of the Retina display on the new MacBook Pro, so presentations, documents, and spreadsheets appear sharper and more vibrant.

Installing the update:

To update to iWork 9.2, use the Mac App Store, Software Update, or the standalone installer. You only need to use one of these methods to update your computer.

Mac App Store

Use this method if you originally purchased Keynote, Pages, or Numbers from the Mac App Store.

Launch the Mac App Store, and go to the Updates tab to update the iWork applications you purchased.

Software Update

Use this method if you originally purchased iWork in a box or downloaded and then activated a trial version of iWork.

Choose Software Update from the Apple menu to automatically check for the latest Apple software, including this update (Software Update might have linked you to this article to learn more about the update.) If your computer is not up-to-date, other software updates available for your computer may appear. Note that an update's size may vary from computer to computer when installed using Software Update. Also, some updates must be installed prior to others, so you should run Software Update more than once to make sure you have all available updates. OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later is required to run this update.

Standalone installer

Use this method if you originally purchased iWork in a box or downloaded and then activated a trial version of iWork. This is an alternative method to the Software Update method above.

Download the update installer, and run it manually. This is a useful option when you need to update multiple computers, but only want to download the update once. Standalone installers for iWork 9.2 are available on the Apple Support Downloads page. OS X Lion v10.7.4 or later is required to run this update.

What’s included:

Keynote 5.2, Pages 4.2, and Numbers 2.2 are updated to take advantage of the following features available on OS X Mountain Lion:

  • iCloud: Store documents in iCloud, and keep them automatically up-to-date across your Mac, iPad, iPhone, iPod touch, and the web. Changes made to a document on one device, automatically appear on all your other devices. This requires iWork for iOS 1.6.1 or later to be installed on your iOS device.
  • Dictation: Speak words, numbers, or sentences, and watch them appear in your presentation, document, or spreadsheet.

The iWork apps are also enhanced to take advantage of the Retina display on the new MacBook Pro, so presentations, documents, and spreadsheets appear sharper and more vibrant.

This update is recommended for users of iWork 9.0 and later.
