iCloud: Reminders are called Tasks in Microsoft Outlook on Windows

Summary

Reminders are referred to as "Reminders" in the majority of applications that use iCloud Reminders. The exception to this is Outlook 2010 and 2007 on Microsoft Windows where they are called Tasks.

Applications that refer to Reminders as Reminders

iOS 5 and later, OS X Mountain Lion, OS X Lion, and iCloud.com all refer to Reminders as Reminders.

  • In iOS 5 and later, you can access Reminders through the Reminders app.

  • In OS X Mountain Lion, you can access Reminders through the Reminders app.

  • In OS X Lion, you can access Reminders through iCal by choosing View > Show Reminders. Reminders will then be displayed in the Reminders section on the right side of iCal.

  • At iCloud.com, you can access Reminders through the Reminders app.

Applications that use other names for Reminders

Outlook 2010 and 2007 in Windows 8, Windows 7, and Windows Vista refer to Reminders as Tasks.

In Outlook, Tasks can be accessed by clicking the Tasks button in the lower left of the main Outlook window. Tasks will then be displayed in the main Outlook window.
