MobileMe Gallery
If you have a Mac, it is likely that most of your Gallery photos are already in iPhoto or Aperture. If not, you can sync the Gallery photos to your iPhoto or Aperture library. You can also download your photos and movies from the web. See instructions below.
Sync photo albums to your Mac with iPhoto (requires iPhoto ’08 or later):
Make sure that your MobileMe account is properly configured in Mac System Preferences and that you are using a broadband Internet connection.
Launch iPhoto and determine which version of iPhoto you are using by choosing iPhoto > About iPhoto.
If you use iPhoto '11 (version 9):
- Open iPhoto.
- Choose iPhoto > Preferences.
- Click Accounts at the top of the preferences window and make sure that your MobileMe account is visible on the left. If not, add your account by clicking the plus sign and entering your MobileMe username and password.
- Select your MobileMe account under the Web section of the iPhoto source list.
- Double-click on each individual album in your Gallery and wait for any new photos in the album to download to your computer. A photo is completely downloaded when the word “pending” no longer appears on the bottom of the photo.
- Once all photos have been downloaded you can drag and drop photos from each of your galleries to Photos in the left hand column to ensure that they are in your main iPhoto library.
If you use iPhoto ’08 (version 7) or iPhoto ’09 (version 8):
- Open iPhoto.
- Choose iPhoto > Preferences.
- Click Web at the top of the preferences window.
- From the "Check for new published photos menu", choose Automatically and then click the Check Now button. Then, dismiss the window.
- In the left hand pane of iPhoto, expand MobileMe Gallery and click on each album, one by one. As you click each album, a spinning icon will indicate that iPhoto is checking MobileMe for any photos that have not yet been synced to your computer. If any photos are found, they will be downloaded automatically.
- Once all photos have been downloaded you can drag and drop photos from each of your galleries to Photos in the left hand column to ensure that they are in your main iPhoto library.

Sync photo albums to your Mac with Aperture (requires version 3 or later):
To find out which version of Aperture you have, choose Aperture > About Aperture. You must be using Aperture 3 or later.
- Open Aperture.
- Choose Aperture > Preferences.
- Click Web at the top of the preferences window and make sure that your MobileMe account is visible on the left. If not, add your account by clicking the plus sign.
- Sign in using your Apple ID (subscribername@me.com or mac.com) and password.
- In the left hand pane of Aperture, expand MobileMe Gallery and click on each album, one by one.
- As you click each album, a spinning icon will indicate that Aperture is checking MobileMe for any photos that have not yet been synced to your computer. If any photos are found, they will be downloaded automatically.
- Once all photos have been downloaded, you can drag and drop them to an existing project, or select the photos you want to save, create a new project, and check the box to include the selected images in the new project. This will move the photos to your main Aperture library.
Note: If your Gallery is set to sync with iPhoto, it may not appear in Aperture. If this is the case, please use iPhoto or the web to save your Gallery photos.
Download photos and movies to your Mac or PC from the web
- Using a web browser, go to your MobileMe Gallery at me.com/gallery. Sign in with your Apple ID (yourname@me.com or mac.com) and password.
- In the My Gallery sidebar on the left, select an album or movie.
- Click on the Adjust Settings icon on the top of the page.
- Make sure you have allowed downloading of the photos and movies. Then click Publish to dismiss the window.
- Click the "http://gallery.me.com/subscribername..." link at the top right of the page.
- On the page that opens, click the download arrow icon at the top of the page.
- If you are downloading a photo album, Gallery will create a .zip file that contains all of the photos and movie clips in the album. Once processing is complete, click the Download button.
